Biography
I am a Full Professor at Computer School, Wuhan University. I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2013. Before that, I received my bachelor's and master's degrees in Computer Science and Technology from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2007 and 2009 respectively.
- Data + AI/LLM: Build systems to integrate data processing tasks regarding versatile types of data (relational tables, graphs, multidimensional data, documents, images) with AI models; tackle data-related tasks by integrating knowledge comprehension, reasoning, and planning capabilities; use AI/LLM techniques to optimize key steps in data processing.
- Vector Data Processing: Accelerate ANN search for large-scale multidimensional data on new hardware (GPU, NPU, TPU); build systems to integrate ANN search with database and AI models.
- Graphs/RAG: Accelerate graph processing on new hardware (GPU, NPU, TPU); accelerate the in-memory computation of classic problems; use graph algorithms and RAG to improve the answer quality of LLM.
